As the two ships passed Cape Louis Napoleon and northward to Cape Norton Shaw, the ice forced them to seperate and remain close inshore. Pygidium (1.8 x 1.6cm), on other side cephalon (2.4 x 1.4cm) in a sawn limestone block (6.5 x 4.8 x 3.4cm). A brachiopod and other fossils are present. Found in scree below 'Basement Bed' rock face. From scree at the entrance to 'Cherry Hole' cave, 260m SSE of lime kilns W side of Wren's Nest, Dudley. GR: SO 9363 9152. Silurian c425my.
