Deiphon barrandei (Whittard 1934) The cranidium; free cheek, of this specimen, very small so the specimen is marked around with a ring of black ink dots. Collected from scree below the Nodular Member rock face, immediately E of the lime kilns, W side of the Wren's Nest. From upper part of the Nodular Member, Much Wenlock Limestone Formation. Leonaspis coronata (Salter 1853); a piece of the left free cheek with the left eye. Dalmanites myops; chipped glabella and right eye. Both in a slab of Much Wenlock Limestone Formation together with many other broken fossils, including two prominent brachiopods. Found in scree in the trench below the Basememnt Bed of the Lower Quarried Limestone Member, E side of the Wren's Nest. Calymene blumenbachii (Brongniart 1822). Part of an enrolled Calymene (2.8cm x 2.2cm) on a limestone block (4.5cm x 3.3cm x 1.1cm). Only the pygidium and eight thoracic segments can be seen. Calymene bluembachii (Brongniart 1822) The thorax of Calymene (2.5 x 2.1cm), eight segments can be seen and it is partially enrolled. On a limestone block (3.8cm x 3.4cm x 1.5cm). Acaste downingiae (Murchison 1839): Small cephalon and pygidia. Rhynchotreta cuneata (Dalman): Anastrophia deflexa (Sowerby). Many other fossils on slab of Much Wenlock Limestone Formation. The fossils are a death assemblage and seem to be sorted by size. See photographs for detail and identifications. Collected from scree below the Nodular Member rock face, W side of Wren's Nest.
