Maritime History of Greenwich VADS Collection: Public Monuments and Sculpture Association
Mural in ceramic tiles, stones and pebbles of varying sizes depicting Greenwich's maritime history. The tiles are shaped and intricately moulded to represent the figures and their clothing and detail of the ships and rigging. The background comprises pebbles and cut stones of varying sizes representing the riverside. The mural faces the street on the wall of a small courtyard in the former Greenwich District Hospital.

Two Obelisks in Line with Greenwich Meridian VADS Collection: Public Monuments and Sculpture Association
Two obelisks, the larger one in granite and the smaller in white stone. Additional Information: Originally erected in 1824 to act as an azimuth mark for a new telescope being installed at Greenwich. Abandoned in 1836.(1) Known as the Bradley Obelisk. (2) When the line of zero longitude was established by international agreement in 1884 it was found that the true course of the Greenwich Meridian lay 19 feet to the east, where a second, smaller obelisk has been placed by the O.S. known as Airy Obelisk.(2)
