The first ever Culture Grid Hack Day, will be held in the stunning Great Hall at the Discovery Museum, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 4JA, on Friday 18th February 2011.
Organised with the North East Regional Museums Hub the day will bring museums and developers together to explore how to make the most of collections information within the Culture Grid; especially the wealth of collections from the North East.
The event aims to
- Increase understanding of the Culture Grid and how it can be used
- Generate ideas for useful applications
- Experiment and develop prototype applications
- Build new relationships between museums and developers
