Hackney Empire, posters and programmes 1986 to date, agreements and contracts for purchase of actual and possible sites including earlier deeds, 1878, 1896-1902, 1962, lists of all performing and contracted artists 1901-1906. Local authors are selectively collected when works are presented to the Department. In the past large collections of works by local authors have been built up, notably by Stoke Newington, on the works of Edgar Allan Poe, Daniel Defoe and Isaac Watts.; Local history collection: card catalogue.
