Description: | The Collection holds over 140 souvenir programmes. These relate to special performances such as tributes, farewell tours, anniversaries, galas, celebrations and productions attended by royalty. The souvenir programmes provide useful information on productions and the context in which they were performed. Many contain illustrations, sketches, character portraits, photographs, lyrics, cast lists and the history of the play. The souvenir programmes are not only a useful tool for research, but are also interesting artefacts in themselves. (See also the University of Bristol Theatre Collection's Theatrical Programmes Collection Level Description).; All catalogued items are searchable online. For all other collection items, contact the
Keeper.
