Description: | Show of Strength was established in 1986 as a touring company for new writing. In 1989 Show of Strength
created Bristol's first permanent pub theatre at the Hen & Chicken,
Bedminster, focusing on new and rarely performed work.
From 1994-7 seasons were presented at Quakers Friars in the city centre,
followed by a residency in the New Vic Studio and the Talbot Inn, Mells.
In 1998 Show of Strength created a new 200 seat theatre at The Tobacco Factory in Bedminster, Bristol.
By creating an intimate, informal and accessible space Show Of Strength aims
to nurture a creative, imaginative relationship between the play, the players
and the audience.
