Description: | The first Primitive Methodist chapel was built before 1830 at the junction of Burgate and King Street. It was replaced by a new chapel in Newport in 1838, which was in turn replaced by the Queen Street chapel in 1868.
The chapel closed in 1961. (It is now used by the Salvation Army.)
