Description: | Ms account (10pp) of his service as a nursing orderly with the Royal Army Medical Corps (October 1914 - March 1919) in Ireland, Egypt, Salonica, and Palestine, covering his duties in the various hospitals in Ireland, including Cork and Limerick (October 1914 - November 1915), in Salonica (February 1916 - July 1917), and in Palestine (August 1917 - early 1919), the establishment of a hospital behind the front lines in Salonica and his experience of the fighting there, conditions in Palestine, Armistice Day celebrations, and the civil unrest in Alexandria prior to his demobilisation (March 1919); together with 3 photographs showing him as an ARP warden during the Second World War.
