Description: | Mining compass in wooden box. Dia. 5.25" (13.4cm) Brass, graduated quadrantally 0-360 degs. Bare needle type. Card fitted with two spirit levels. Two sight vanes (folding). Fitted with vernier for azimuth readings. Hedley type invented in 1850.
