Description: | Indenture dated 22nd July 1809, between: 1. Joseph Wainwright, Surgeon; Thomas Hawkes, Merchant; Edward Dixon, Banker; Samuel Bennett, Nail Ironmonger; Richard Powell, Plumber and Glazier; Thomas Homer, Maltster; and John Tompson the Elder, Cordwainer, all of Dudley (being 7 of the Commissioners named and appointed under an Act of Parliament, 1791, for lighting the town of Dudley with Gas). 2. Henry Pitt, Innkeeper; and John Blewitt, Innkeeper, both of Dudley, Trustees. 3. Benjamin Whitehouse of Dudley, Ironmaster. 4.
