Description: | A series of ms letters home covering his service as a British Red Cross Society ambulance driver in France, November 1914 - May 1915; as a pilot with No 5 Squadron RFC in France, July - September 1915, in the United Kingdom, October 1915 - December 1916, and with No 25 Squadron RFC in France, December 1916 - January 1917; and as a prisoner of war in Germany, January 1917 - October 1918; together with various drafts accompanying a final version of a journal he kept as a prisoner of war, an album of related documents and photographs, pilot's flying log books, letters from his family in Gloucestershire, official documentation concerning his service in the Red Cross and RFC, and correspondence with Wing Commander Macmillan regarding publication of part of his diary in the book WINGS OF FATE.
