Description: | Wordprocessed transcription (41pp) of his diary kept during service as a radio operator in the RFC, October 1915 - September 1918, containing very brief entries describing his training in the United Kingdom, embarkation in October 1916 for France, his duties in No 15 Squadron (November - December 1916), No 5 Squadron (December 1916 - March 1917), No 13 Squadron (March - October 1917) and No 6 Squadron RFC (October - November 1917) on the Western Front, attachment to a number of artillery batteries (including 113th Heavy Battery and 239th, 256th and 262nd Siege Batteries), his involvement in the Battle of Arras (April 1917), and meetings with American and Australian troops.
