Description: | The Archive contains: (1) GBR/0272/LLK: the personal papers of the ballerina Lydia Lopokova (1892-1981). These include programmes, photographs, costume designs, scripts and news cuttings for her dancing, acting and radio appearances, and assorted correspondence, 1917-74. (2) GBR/0272/KCAR/7/MAR/C and other collections: Correspondence and administrative documents relating to the establishment and early years of the Cambridge Arts Theatre, founded by John Maynard Keynes, 1934-46. (3) GBR/0272/GAK: Letters received by actress Gertrude Kingston from actors and producers in the early 20th century. (4) GBR/0272/GHWR: The personal papers of Shakespearean scholar George Humphrey Wolferstan Rylands (1902-99). These include writings and scripts of broadcasts on theatrical subjects, correspondence, papers relating to theatrical productions, and photographs of performances, 1879-1997.
