Description: | 2 November 1764 shows descent of the property by surrender and admission re 4½ parcels of meadow called 4½ gads in the east field carr, formerly of James Nelthorpe Esq. now in the occupation of widow Little William Carter long since dead, Lumley Carter his youngest son was heir by custom of the manor and also dead. Thomas Carter was his eldest brother and heir at law Re the cottage formerly called Durance then demolished another cottage, 1 oxgang dispersed in the fields, 3 gads of meadow in east carr late the estate of William Dent now in occupation of William Ellis, descent as before Re a cottage late George Slinger in occupation Ralph Robinson and other lands late George Slinger in occupation George Nettleshipp and the messuage and land in the open fields and 20 a. of meadow in east field carr, 18 gadds in north carr late of George Slinger now in occupation of George West Re arable meadow or pasture dispersed in the fields late the estate of Henry Caistor, in occupation George Kitching Thomas Carter was admitted to all the above, descent as before to the use of his will.
28 June 1768 The same properties, Robert Carter clerk brother of Thomas was admitted under Thomas Carter's will.
16 April 1788 Admission of Charlotte Carter Thelwall, only child of Robert Carter Thelwall, admitted to lands and tenements in Hibaldstow in the occupation of William Ellis, George Nettleshipp, Thomas Little, John Middleton, John Smith William Marshall and Thomas Blanchard who granted them to the earl of Bessborough and Robert Vyner senior to the uses of her marriage settlement with Lord William Beauclerk, subject to powers of selling or exchanging.

5 September 1818 Reference to the will of lady William Beauclerk 1795 leaving land to the duke of St. Albans who did not claim admission. It devolved by law upon the co-heiresses Eleanor Vyner widow and Mary Carter spinster, sisters of the Reverend Robert Carter Thelwall and Dame Charlotte Nelthorpe only child of Susan wife of Andrew Willoughby Esq. the only other sister of Robert Carter Thelwall. Eleanor Vyner died leaving Charles lord Yarborough eldest son by her first marriage with Francis Anderson Esq.
