Description: | The Guildhall Library contains a large collection of prints, maps, watercolours and ephemera devoted to the history of London. It also holds 10,000 theatre programmes and playbills, chiefly from London in the 19th century. The collection includes several hundred prints and drawings of theatres, photographs, newspaper cuttings, ephemera, scrapbooks and illustrated topographies.; Programmes and playbills indexed on cards. Prints, drawings and maps all catalogued on computer system TALLIS. Prints and drawings and some maps available on COLLAGE, a visual database containing 30,000 images available on terminals in the Print Room and also on the internet at the address above.
