Description: | Parties: William Carter of Redbourne Esq., Thomas Carter Esq. eldest son and heir of William by Sarah his wife daughter of Roger Price late of Rhiwlas, Merionethshire, Esq., William and Edward Travers (as in RED/1/1/4) Anthony Dempster of Brigg gent., Sir Thomas Stiles of Wateringbury, Kent, bart. and Thomas Dallison of Hampton, Kent.
Property: the manor of Redbourne and capital messuage called the White House, the rectory of Redbourne and other property as in RED/1/1/2.
Also property in Pickworth as in RED/1/1/4.
Consideration : Rehearsal of the marriage settlement of 1709 (as in RED/1/1/2) reference to a term of 600 years under that settlement of lands in Denbighshire, Flintshire and Carnarvonshire and also of Redbourne subject to a term of 500 years, to the use of Richard lord Bulkeley, Sir Roger Mostyn and Thomas Bulkeley, to the use of the eldest son of William and Sarah Price his intended wife and the heirs of his body, and further to the use of the trustees to raise £100 a year to the next male issue in remainder, and to pay sums as shall be appointed to William Carter's daughters and younger children, rehearsal of an act of parliament under which the Welsh estates might be sold and estates of greater value purchased, which had been done in Willoughby, and Pickworth, William Carter being empowered to charge these last lands up to £4000 over and above the foregoing charges for portions for daughters and younger children, William Carter therefore wished to discharge the Redbourne and Waddingham lands from anything but the £2,000 charge (as in RED/1/1/2) as he had laid out much on improvement of the premisses, and wished to add the purchased property in Pickworth to that under charge in £4,000 as above.
Conditions: The Redbourne properties are therefore to be subject to the 500 year term of Sir Thomas Stiles and Thomas Dallison (as in RED/1/1/2), the Pickworth property to be subject to the same charge (of £4000) as laid down in the act of parliament for the manors of Pickworth East Hall and West Hall.
